Educational Malpractice

Educational Malpractice Home career Educational MalpracticecareerEducational MalpracticeBy Shivam Bhasin - November 4, 201625260Facebook Someone once said “Everyone is a genius”. I agree but if we will judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it would start believing that it is stupid. This is also not enough, these days schools make them climb down, run on fields, make them fly and they make them do everything except for swimming. A school is believed to be a pilgrimage but are they still so ? Turning thousands of kids into robots, are they still a place to learn? Do they realize how many students relate to that fish, who wants to swim but are unnecessarily forced to climb trees up and down.Every student is provided with a gift, a separate, a unique gift. But schools are the places where these gifts in them are killed, they are forced to think that they are stupid, believe that they are worthless. Well the time has come, no more excuses, I, on behalf of every student who is still wasting his time becoming a robot, accuse schools of killing creativity, individuality and at the end, the student.Everything that we used in past is now completely modernized; be it the mobile phones, cars, houses and every thing that we look around except for that one thing “CLASSROOM”. Now ain’t that a shame? In literally more than a century nothing has changed. Yet these schools claim to prepare students for future. I want to ask them that seriously, are they preparing students for the future or for the past?Students in schools are trained to work in factories which clearly explains why students are put in straight rows, nice and neat, they ask them to sit still, raise their hand if they want to speak, give them 15 minutes to eat, teaching them to compete and shockingly telling them even what to think and all this just to get a grade ‘A’. Yes grade ‘A’, a letter which determines quality product manufactured from the factory called “School”.Today we don’t need to make robot z ombies. The world has progressed and now we need people who think creatively, independently, innovatively and critically. Scientists have confirmed that no two brains are the same. Then why are the teachings same for every student, the same way, giving this ‘one size fits all’ kind of crap. Taking an example: If a doctor would prescribe every patient the same medicine then the result is going to be tragic. When it comes to school this is exactly what happens; this “Educational Malpractice”, where a teacher stands in front of 20 students, each having different gifts, different needs, different strengths but are taught the same thing, the same way. Isn’t it horrific? Now let’s be honest, a teacher has the most important job on the planet but still they are under paid. Well I believe that teachers should earn as much as doctors because if a doctor can cure the heart of that student, a teacher can reach out to that heart and can teach him to truly live. Teachers are often bla med but that is not a problem for many because they seem to work in a system without many options or rights. Curriculum is created by policy makers, many of them haven’t even taught even a single day in their entire life. When we are customizing cars, mobile phones, houses and everything around us then it is our duty to do the same for education; to upgrade it, to change it. Sure mathematics is important but not more than art or dance. Let’s give every gift an equal chance. I know this sounds like a dream but countries like Singapore and Finland are doing impressive things. They have shorter school days, teachers make a decent wage. They focus on collaboration instead of competition. There is no single solution but let’s get moving because while students are the 20% of our population, they are definitely 100% of our future. So let’s attend to their dreams and then there is no telling on what we can achieve. Do away with school spirit because that’s useless unless we’re wo rking to bring the spirit out of each and every student; that should be our task. No more common core, instead let’s reach the core of every heart in every class.“This is the world in which I believe, a world where fish, are no longer forced to climb trees.”

5 Ways to Treat Yourself to Avoid Burnout

5 Ways to Treat Yourself to Avoid Burnout It’s no secret that women are stressed out these days. And I mean really stressed out. Today, we’re always “on” and connected. We’re overloaded with information. We put on so many hats, even though it’s not a good look. If you’ve started seeing the danger signs of burnout it’s time to treat yourself. For a day, don’t think about anything but yourself. It’s not selfish. It’s one of the most effective ways to avoid a mental, emotional and physical meltdown. Need some ideas to get your started? Here are five ways you can treat yourself to bypass burnout. Spa Day Just for You Spa treatments are the go-to stress reliever. They’re relaxing, indulgent and provide a nice confidence boost. But a treat yourself spa day goes beyond a basic massage or pedicure. It’s a day filled with customized spa treatments that address your specific needs. A facial is a great option since it’s one of the most customizable spa treatments available. The esthetician can use a unique blend of ingredients to target key skin concerns. Massage can also be customized to relieve muscle tension in a specific area. Talk with a few spas in your area to see if they offer package deals that can be customized to your liking. Have a Low-Key Picnic Nature is a natural stress reliever. Numerous studies in recent years have found that simply walking through a park can immediately reduce physical signs of stress in city dwellers. If you need to escape the urban jungle, plan a picnic. Pack a lunch, fill your water bottle, fold up a blanket and grab a good read. An afternoon walk through the park will relax your mind before you even get to the picnic spot. Getting lost in a book will further ease stress and anxiety. After a few leisurely hours you’ll feel renewed and rejuvenated. To keep the picnic from becoming more of a hassle than it’s worth, keep the guest list small. As in, make it a solo affair or a date with your significant other. The point is to relax quietly out in nature, which is easier with fewer people. Have a Really Nice Meal There’s nothing more indulgent than reserving a table at a four-star restaurant and ordering whatever you want from the menu. No calorie counting, no penny pinching â€" it’s an all out indulgence. It turns out comfort food actually exists. Neuroscientists have discovered that certain foods ignite the pleasure centers of our brains. For women, our preferred comfort foods tend to be sugary â€" ice cream, chocolate and cookies top the list. When we’re stressed out that can also trigger the brain to crave comfort foods. You don’t want to make food a coping mechanism, but treating yourself to a really nice meal every now and then can be a great pick-me-up. Plus, you don’t have to worry about any of the cooking or cleaning. Weekend Retreat When burnout is knocking at the door, you may need to put a little distance between yourself and the stressors. One of the best things you can do is treat yourself to a weekend retreat. Nailing a weekend retreat that restores your energy and sanity is all about picking the right accommodations. Many retreats are designed to get your mindset on a more positive path so you can manage daily stressors that add up. The amenities will also be focused on pure relaxation. The best weekend retreats have everything you could possibly need onsite, so for a few days you can disconnect and not have to worry about running around. Buy a Luxury Item Some people rarely treat themselves to the finer things. We budget-conscious sisters are always looking at the price tag first and foremost. Well, not today. Of course, draining your bank account can create a lot of added stress. The good news is a luxury item doesn’t have to be anything big or expensive. A luxury item could be extra soft three-ply toilet paper instead of the regular two-ply kind. If you want to go bigger, carefully consider what luxury item you’ve wanted or needed for a while and then go out and get it. Consider it an investment in your happiness.

Should We Implant Microchips in Our Employees

Should We Implant Microchips in Our Employees The future is here, and our integration with technology has begun. For years now we have been integrating technology into our daily lives and engaging with different technologies on a constant basis. Imagine life without internet connectivity or your mobile phone? Theres no way we can live without either. We are seeing advances in technology that without  a doubt is improving  what we can do as human beings, and is vital to our future development. I would argue we now have 6 senses as human beings; vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste, and technology. Like vision or hearing, technology is just as important a factor in what makes us human nowadays. The latest advancement within this  argument is microchips, and it has become extremely popular within the space of transhuman technology; a movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing sophisticated technology that greatly enhances human intellect and physiology. On August 1st 2017, Three Square Market, a vending machine company in Wisconsin, began offering microchip implants to all their employees which they say allows them to make purchases, open doors, login to computers, use the copy machine and more. The chip is the size of a grain of rice and is placed between an employees thumb and forefinger. Real-life Cyborgs No more worrying about bringing your employee ID to work, or your wallet to work. Once you have the chip installed in your hand, you can open doors and purchase coffee with the wave of your hand. It all sounds so convenient, right? But I’m not sure people are quite ready to have some sort of microchip installed. More than 50 out of 80 employees at Three Square Market have volunteered, so the idea itself has a lot of admirers. Recently Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said that humans must become cyborgs to survive in the future. He speaks about the need to integrate neural laces into our brains in order to combat the inevitable rise of AI technologies. So the idea of integrating technology into our bodies has been circulating for quite a bit, and people are getting more and more used to the idea. In 10 or 15 years, I do think that this idea wont be as strange as it is now. It’s an idea that needs to best tested out and that’s exactly whats happening right now. Privacy and security Part of the narrative behind the fear of microchipping is the uncertainty of privacy and security of employees. You cant turn the chip off or put it away, it’s in you and there’s nothing you can do about it. Yet Three Square Market say that their chips are not trackable, nor do they have any kind of GPS capabilities. They say the microchips are designed to make your access to anything you need at work and the experience you have at work, easier than it ever was. While the microchips might not track an employees location by GPS, they do give employers a huge amount of data about what employees do and when they do it, such as how often an employee leaves his workspace to go to the bathroom or get food. Its important to note that while this type of information can be  useful  or even harmless to record, an employees privacy should always be in mind. Health concerns An obvious concern is the fact that you are putting something into your body. It’s a quite a big step to take as a person. It’s not a natural thing to do. Who’s to say the chip doesnt have an electrical fault? There are many hazards that people quickly think of, and that’s normal. Biohackers have predicted a positive future for microchips, as they say it will be instrumental in how we monitor our own health and fitness activities. We could eventually understand why were not feeling well, exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. Implanting microchips into our bodies has the potential of helping us do far more than just opening doors or paying for coffee. So while microchips may revolutionize how we live, do we really need it at work? Employees should consider all perspectives before committing to it.

12 Considerations to Make Before Changing Your Brand Image - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

12 Considerations to Make Before Changing Your Brand Image - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career Whats your best piece of branding advice for companies that are trying to pivot or change their image? The following answers are provided by members of  Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), an invite-only organization comprised of the world’s most promising young entrepreneurs. In partnership with Citi, YEC recently launched  BusinessCollective, a free virtual mentorship program that helps millions of entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. 1. Dont Drift Too Far Away If you opt for a radical change, you might lose a large percentage of your current customer base. Its possible to make a significant branding change that allows you to maintain enough of your original image to hold onto current users while still creating a new image. A subtle change is less risky than a complete makeover.   â€"  Jonathan Long,  Market Domination Media 2. Be Authentic When changing a companys image, its important to choose an image  that feels right for you and your employees. Otherwise, you run the risk of the company having an ill-fitting personality or being unable to keep up that image.   â€"  Elliot Bohm,  Cardcash.com 3. Get an Outside Perspective When changing your image or product offering, it is imperative to get an outsiders perspective on your branding plan. When you start a  company and shift your image or strategy, your discernment can fade while your bias for your first creation  skews your judgment of the second. Board members are great for this, as are mentors and advisors.  If you can afford it, a branding agency can help.   â€"  Andrew Thomas,  SkyBell Video Doorbell 4. Go All In Do it fast, do it complete and do it thoroughly. This isnt something to phase  in. If its a new slogan youre after, make sure its everywhere, including print, digital, posters in your office, business cards and bumper stickers. Get your content machine churning out the new image, reasons for the change, and most importantly, follow through on the message.   â€"  Josh Sprague,  Orange Mud 5. Think About 10 Years From Now When pivoting its important to think not only about the past and present  but also about the distant future. Is your pivot positioning your brand too narrow to grow? Is the name/identity broad enough to support future growth, but also specific enough to address your core values and current vision? Ask yourself if you think an image will still stand up in 10 years before making any change.   â€"  Brittany Hodak,  ZinePak 6. Focus on Your Ideal Customer Profile Before making the pivot, you should spend time on these questions:  Who are my ideal customers? What are their use cases, pain points and similarities? Your rebranding should  focus entirely  on  building a brand that connects with these specific individuals.   â€"  Justin Graves,  Infegy, Inc. 7. Be Consistent When you rebrand, make sure to keep everything consistent. Your company should build a set of brand standards for content, storytelling and images, and the brand standards must apply to every piece of collateral.   â€"  Shalyn Dever,  Chatter Buzz 8. Define Your Core Purpose Limit yourself to three to seven words that describe your core purpose in a statement. This does two things: 1. Strips away the use of business lingo and gets to the core, and 2. If the business cant decide on this common statement, then you know you have more than a branding problem. You have an alignment issue.   â€"  Alan Hart,  Avid 9. Be Certain if any Changes Are Needed Ask yourself why youre changing at all!  Are you reacting to your competition? Thats a terrible idea. Is there  a gaping hole in the market that such an adjustment would be advantageous to your company? Go for it!  You should have a solid  reason to change. The market should immediately be able to recognize why you pivoted, and, if youre changing just for the sake of change, thats  a fools errand.   â€"  Derek Hunter,  William Roam 10. Amplify Whats Most Unique About Your Company To change your image, youre going to have to radically cut or add something to your brand. Otherwise, youre just an incremental iteration of what you werebefore. Find whatever is  most unique about your company and radically amplify that. Make it the base upon which you build the brand, not the flavor you add on top of the brand.   â€"  Charlie Gilkey,  Productive Flourishing 11. Go Big and Broad Stand next to the biggest thing you can find. Move past communicating explicit product and feature benefits, and align yourself with big, ambitious goals that your clients and team can get behind. Not only will you win hearts and minds, but the broader positioning also gives you enough room for enduring success.   â€"  Christopher Kelly,  Convene 12. Don’t Operate Under Assumptions Market research must be a paramount concern. Make sure to take into consideration your target market. If you haven’t performed a market study, you need to do so to better understand how to attract the attention you want and find out where you should direct your efforts moving forward. This will help you achieve better results and create an image that matches your company’s vision and mission.   â€"  Alfredo Atanacio,  Uassist.ME

Cracking the Code Behind Successful Non-Tech Startups CareerMetis.com

Cracking the Code Behind Successful Non-Tech Startups Non-tech startups are a significant part of the globalized industry today.According to GEM’s Global Report, almost a hundred million non-tech startups are launched each year. However, not all of these startups are successful.evalBelow, we shall consider some of the critical characteristics that ensure the success of a non-tech startup. Most of these steps and strategies are usually ignored for being too mundane or ordinary. However, these aspects are crucial to the success of any non-tech startup.Collective Consumer InsightevalA great product idea is incomplete until the customer is satisfied with it. Startup development must be focused on understanding the key challenges and opportunities associated with the product.Ask yourself questions such as:Am I aware of the complete problem?Does the problem exist for the end customer? Will the customer make a purchase? The maximum and minimum amount of money that a customer will spend on your product. For a non-tech startup, it is highly recom mended to engage with their customers directly to extract this information. Customers can find it easier to understand and answer questions that are based on non-technical language.Always build prototypes. The startup’s idea must be built in phases that allow for consideration of the development aspects. A crude mockup of your program does not need coding.Instead, it needs a representation of the final product you wish to provide. For example, if you have a mobile app ideaâ€" a crude mockup can display its features. You may also visualize the design and layout of the application.evalSome other elements can be added to your crude mockup to make it more effectiveA Presentation that represents the main points of the idea. You may create WireframesWhiteboard videos, storyboards, or a simple Entity-Relationship Diagram can be useful.Using image editing tools like Adobe Photoshop. If you may feel difficulty in managing these aspects, a tech intern can help you out. Usually, school students are available for both paid and unpaid internships. You can reward them by providing them a decent recommendation for their college entry.Pre-selling is the key to success for a startup, sales of their initial product are significant. If, after all the research and development, your initial product fails, it might be challenging to survive in the market.evalA suitable strategy is to focus on the pre-selling of your product. You are convincing your customer to buy the product before its actual launch. Pre-selling provides startups an insight regarding the sales that may be expected from the product.Non-tech startups may focus on proper marketing and advertising to ensure that they can grab some of the market-share before the launch of their first product.Considered a Cofounder?Your non-tech startup can use the services of a technical cofounder. A technical cofounder can help put your idea into practice while causing a minimal economic burden. However, there are a few things you must co nsider before finalizing on who to approach for the co-founding opportunity:Have you decided on your product’s idea? Are you sure what kind of technical expert will be helpful? Are you aware of the legal requirements? Are you aware where you can find the required cofounder?Ensure that you have tested the person well before making him/her a cofounder. The image of the cofounders, their work ethics, and their persona is closely linked to the image of the company.Making an incompetent person, the cofounder can lead to negative publicity and brand image issues for your startup. However, a suitable co-founder can improve the chances of success for your startup.Firms with two co-founders have higher chances of successcompared to firms with a pure founder. Are you prepared for the prelaunch? Your prelaunch is the deciding factor if your firm is destined to survive in the market or not. Make sure you are well placed for a fruitful prelaunch. You may consider the following steps for this purpos e:Are your clients aware of your product?Have you decided on any special offers or packages to offer to your clients? Are you confident that the prelaunch will lure-in customers?A successful pre-launch must improve the market value and brand identity for your business. A poorly managed prelaunch event, faulty product, etc. can reduce your worth in the market. Startups must progressively build their market worth and value to ensure their market survival.Expansion needs timeevalRemember, expanding rapidly is the worst business decision for a non-tech startup. Take things slowly and work on every aspect individually.Additionally, find ample time to perform networking, writing a guest post, speaking at conferences, and socially developing your startup’s identity. For an any-known tech startup, being search engine friendly is much more critical than proliferating.Search engine friendly, in layman terms, means that your firm must pop-up in search engine results for your particular niche.C onsider the following methods to make this possible.evalContact various elements in the media â€" reach out to blogs, newspapers, etc. They can create reports and editorials about your firm.Make sure you allow free access to your product to media experts in your field. Any useful and positive reviewscan improve the worth of your product and startup.Try to gain insight regarding the competition. Competing products, or substitutes, may have features that can be implemented on your product to improve it.evalGrow with partnershipsStartup development can be boosted by getting into business with active firms in the industry. You may consider the vertical integration approach.Find a partner that is one a later stage of production than your startup. For example, if your startup is in the secondary stage of production, try teaming up with a well-known retailer. On the other hand, you may consider teaming up with a supplier. If your firm is an innovative retail startup, you may form partnership s with various manufacturers.Partnerships with the right firms can improve the image of your startup. At the same time, benefits such as discounts and promotions can be availed from these partnerships. Most importantly, the model of the partner ensures business stability and regular sales for your startup.OriginalityOriginality and innovation are a must for a non-tech startup. The more you focus on the originality aspect, the better your market image shall be.Here are a few methods to ensure originality. The mobile app for a startup must be unique. Do not focus on copying the idea of a well-established firm. Customers want something new to them: why will they pay for something they already have? The website of your startup must be original, displaying the actual data and information about YOUR startup. Copying information from reputed websites shall be devastating.Keep originality in your thought. If you appear as mimicry or imitation of another business, there are minimal chances of y ourLong-term survival in the market.Ensure originality in how you deal with your office management. Virtual office teamsare an excellent option for this purpose to provide maximum flexibility to employees.Being unique and original can lure-in customers. A good idea is preferred by customers more than an abridged version of something that already exists in the market.Reach out to the customersOnce your product is ready, do not wait for customers to spot it. Instead, reach out to your customers. Depending on the type of your product, there are multiple events and seminars that you may attend. At the same time, you can do market research regarding the best customers for your product. Remember, social media is one of the most powerful marketing tools that existtoday. You may follow the following marketing strategies. You may use social media platforms to start a proper marketing campaign. Such campaigns may be based on text. However, visual campaigns, involving images or videos, are much m ore effective. You may consider building an official page for your startup. After creating an audience on that page, you can publish details of the new and upcoming products. You may create your own social media platform for the customers of your company only. A forum-format is most commonly followed for this purpose. Here, customers can ask questions, provide reviews, and even suggest improvements in the products.Customers are the key to your business survival. Thus, make sure your customers are satisfied at all points.ConclusionA startup requires continuous effort to ensure its success. Taking a startup venture lightly may result in quick failure. It is essential to ensure that you follow the above-mentionedtips and tricks for a successful non-tech startup.Make sure you are well composed at all points and in-control of your startup’s situation. Consider the individual needs of your non-tech startup before following the given details â€" some of them may apply to your particular bus iness compared to others. After all, each business is unique and requires a customized approach for success. Best of luck!

7 out of 10 People Disengaged from Their Jobs Are You

7 out of 10 People Disengaged from Their Jobs â€" Are You 7 out of 10 People Disengaged from Their Jobs Are You? A recent Gallup poll shows some distressing numbers: only 30% of our U.S. workers are engaged with their jobs, another 50% are “non-engaged,” and an astonishing 20% “actively disengaged.” So, it seems, employees not only hate their jobs; they are, most likely, less productive and “checked out.” Gallup recommends that managers play a much bigger role in engaging with employees. I think employees should get connected or get out. And “get out” comes in many flavors. Why do so many people hate their jobs? I â€" and a number of other career experts â€" have the following hypotheses: Employees are staying in their roles too long. On average, workers are staying in their jobs longer, “keeping their heads down” due to the unemployment crisis. They are afraid to move, to take risks, or don’t want to make the effort to job search, internally or outside their current companies. Employees are abdicating the responsibility for their own career movements to their managers and companies. The days are gone when organic growth happened purely because a company was growing so fast. Employees would rather be victims than take accountability. That’s why I retired from Microsoft to write the book, Cut the Crap, Get a Job! so I could deliver an easy-to-follow process for employees to create choices. That’s the operative word: do you have choices? Employees are working longer hours for smaller wage or salary increases. Yes, compensation packages are being squeezed, merit increases are in the low single digits â€" often not keeping up with inflation â€" and even highly leveraged employees (for example, sales staff) are seeing their commission structures changed…for the worse. Work-life balance is heading in the wrong direction. Electronic devices and mobile technology have made it very hard to turn work off. E-mails, texts, action items, and reports come flowing in via smart phones, laptops, and tablets all hours of the day and night, and on weekends. People are exhausted, unable to recharge their batteries and enjoy time with their families. That builds up to resentment. Negative employer-employee relationships. Negative relationships can range from micro-managing, taking credit for subordinate’s work, under-appreciation, being difficult, and more. Bosses come in all shapes and sizes. Just because someone is a manager doesn’t instantly make him or her a great boss or leader. Unclear career path and next steps. Employees don’t see how they can grow their skills/experiences and advance. Training and development leading directly to advancement is not visible or accessible by many. There are many more reasons and we can spend a lot of time debating what companies need to do differently. However, this article is focused on YOU, the employee. After all, it’s your career and livelihood, right? It’s not easy to just get out of the situation you are in. I’ve been where you are. Here are four simple â€" though not necessarily easy â€" steps to follow: Step 1: If you find yourself disengaged at work or even hating your job, you need to take the time to stop and think about why. Is it the money? Is it the people? Is it the work or the hours? Step 2: Decide if you are going to do something about it. Or not. But make that decision. If your answer is, “Nah, I’ll stay here,” then stop whining. If your answer is, “Yes, I want to build choices while working here,” then build a plan and execute on it! Stop the excuses like you don’t have time or you don’t know how. There are plenty of resources to help you. Step 3: Set a goal. Articulate what it is you will look for, being very clear and specific; identify the function, industry, company type, location, salary minimum, and much more. Step 4: Put a plan in motion. Period. Do it without excuses or mistakes. Carve out the time in your non-work-hours calendar, make it a project, and run it with disciplined excellence. Nobody owns this other than you! We look forward to your thoughts, so write us here!

Words to Show Action When Writing a Resume

Words to Show Action When Writing a ResumeAs a writer, it is important to be aware of the words to show action when writing a resume. Writing a resume is not an easy task, especially if you are not good at it. But it is a job that can bring you lots of employment opportunities. If you don't want to get lost in the shuffle and make a fool of yourself during the hiring process, then you need to know how to write a resume properly.A resume is merely a piece of writing that lays out your job history and achievements. It is normally written in chronological order. While the chronological order used on resumes is crucial to getting a job, it is important that the resume should not be written chronologically or grammatically wrong. Because what is written on a resume is seen immediately by the hiring manager. You want the hiring manager to see your strengths, but you also don't want to appear to be too convincing and list your weaknesses or past mistakes. To get around this, it is important that you give the hiring manager as many reasons as possible to hire you.The best words to show action when writing a resume are the ones that convince the hiring manager to hire you. One example of a persuasive word would be 'overcome' which is a word that would also portray how good of a worker you are. Another example would be the word 'supervisor' which can also reflect your leadership qualities. These are examples of words that can change how the hiring manager views you.Be careful when using the word 'years.' When people hear this word, they may think that you have been working in your field for years, but they really only know you for a short period of time. The best words to show action when writing a resume phrases like 'the last few years.' This way the hiring manager can see that you have been in the same position for a long time, but have still been successful at it.Be sure to make all of your references to industry specific terms. You might have many industry specific references listed in your work history, but a real estate agent would not want to call himself an appraiser. Instead, he would call himself a real estate appraiser. That is one good word to show action when writing a resume. You can also use the word 'exceeds' when writing a resume. To illustrate, a salesperson who exceeds a certain goal would be fired from his position. This is a good word to show action when writing a resume because you will be able to show that you have made your goal. It is also important to mention what you accomplished and exceed. You can also use 'been' when writing a resume and get yourself a raise. The same thing goes for 'earned'excelled.' These words are so common that it is very easy to use them without thinking. The most important word to show action when writing a resume, however, is 'succeeded.' Keep in mind that this word says exactly what you've accomplished or exceeded, and that's what counts. When you use the words to show action when writing a resum e, you will be able to convince the hiring manager to hire you. Always remember that this job is your chance to make your mark on the world. Make it count.
